Funny story. It turns out that the clever folks behind the web design and marketing of the mobile truck, The Peached Tortilla, are my neighbors. As many of you know (or will soon find out), the owners of The Peached Tortilla are about to launch their newest creation: Yumé Burger, a mobile truck with Japanese inspired burgers and hot dogs. Lucky for me, they had a free trial run in front of my neighbor's yard across the street. Free burgers and fries? Yes please.
Of our options, the roommates and I chose the JapaJam Burger with fries tossed in sesame-seed salt. The burger was paired with Japanese tomato jam, jalapeno jack cheese, a fried egg, Japanese BBQ Sauce & crispy onion strings. Was it good? Um, yes.
Make sure to check them out this weekend at their opening parties: Saturday at @SouthAustinBrew this from 2p to 7p and Sunday at @HopsandGrain from 12p to 6p.
